Skate 4: How To Do The Dog Piss

One of the lesser-known grab tricks in Skate 4, the Dog Piss, isn’t something you see every day because the current skate meta is spamming Christ Airs. There are so many better grabs in the game, and the Dog Piss is one of them.

Instead of spamming the Christ Air every time, add this grab to mix up your lines. It shows that you are actually a skate player and not a TikTok clip farmer. Here’s how to do the Dog Piss with the exact inputs and a step-by-step guide.

How To Do The Dog Piss In Skate 4

This is a modified grab, so it takes a couple of inputs to get the trick down:

  • Hold and Flick the Right Stick (RS) Down
  • Hold the Left Trigger (L2 on PlayStation, LT on Xbox)
  • Press X on Xbox or Square on PlayStation immediately

That’s it, these inputs will trigger the Dog Piss grab in which you’ll crouch, grab the board, and pull off the trick in a unique way. Oh, and yes, it resembles the pose it’s named after.

Note: These controls are for the Regular stance and with default skate settings. For goofy, just use the other trigger.

Step-by-Step Guide

Here is how to do it step-by-step:

  • Start by launching yourself off a ramp or a kicker to gain some real airtime. You can try these on verts, but you don’t have enough airtime on those to get it down. First, practice on the mega ramps across San Vansterdam, then move on to verts.
  • As soon as you’re airborne, flick the Right Stick (RS) down. Instantaneously, hold the Left Trigger (LT/L2) and quickly tap X (or Square if you’re on PlayStation).
  • You’ll then perform the Dog Piss grab. To finish it off, try to land clean or, better yet, into a manual for those extra style points.

You can’t just get these advanced tricks like the Dog Piss right the first time around. It takes sharp timing, and you’ve got to sync the directional input with the trigger/button press just right. There is no shortcut; just keep practicing the inputs until you get it down.

Once you’ve got it all down in practice, the Dog Piss brings a unique touch to your lines. Sure, it takes a few tries to lock in, but pulling off that trick in front of your crew who aren’t aware that the trick even exists feels awesome. Totally worth the grind.
