Ska legends Madness announce Manchester stop on their arena tour

Madness will be heading to Manchester on their upcoming arena tour, it’s been confirmed. The ska icons will be stopping off in the city, at the AO, as part of their C’est La Vie 2023 UK tour.

It kicks off in Aberdeen in November, before landing in Manchester on December 9. They’ll be playing all of their classic hits, alongside a handful of tracks from their forthcoming 13th studio album.

The band said: “WOT-a-tour this promises to be! We can’t wait to be back out on the road, doing what we love best. Roll on November.”

Joining them for the dates will be Liverpool legends the Lightning Seeds, they of 90s hits like Life of Riley, Pure and Lucky You.

The tickets go on sale at 9.30am on April 28 via Ticketmaster.

Hailing from Camden in North London, the iconic six-piece shot to fame during the two-tone revival in the late 70s and early 80s, with Graham ‘Suggs’ McPherson as the band’s irrepressible frontman.

They’ve released 10 top 10 albums, and a host of unforgettable singles, from It Must Be Love to Our House to Baggy Trousers. The band also performed on top of Buckingham Palace at part of the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.
