Sizzling heatwave to hit Nottingham with highs of 29C predicted

Nottingham looks set to be in for some glorious weather over the next week.

The MET Office is predicting temperatures will reach highs of 29C on Wednesday, June 24, and 28C on Thursday, June 25.

The week is due to start off sunny with forecasters predicting temperatures of 22C on Monday, June 22, and 25C on Tuesday, June 23.

The forecast isn't quite so good as we head towards the weekend, as some showers are predicted for Friday, June 26, despite the mercury still being expected to reach 25C.

The MET Office is currently predicting no rain will fall in Nottingham next Saturday, June 27, and temperatures of 22C are expected.

It comes after heavy rainfall last week brought some issues with flooding in parts of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Parts of Ilkeston, Wollaton and Beeston were among those affected.
