Sixty-year-old man robbed in Swansea street by woman who took his phone and money

A 60-year-old man was assaulted and robbed of his money and mobile phone in a Swansea street.

South Wales Police have started their investigations into the incident, which took place in the early hours of the morning on October 12, along Carmarthen Road, near the bus stop past Dyfatty traffic lights.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or captured it on dashcam, to come forward and share information to help their inquiries. Read more police-related incidents by clicking here.

A statement from South Wales Police read: "We are appealing for information on an alleged robbery that occurred between 1am and 2am on October 12 in Carmarthen Road, Swansea.

"It was reported that a 60-year-old man was walking up Carmarthen Road, when a woman approached him and assaulted him before taking money and his mobile phone from him. This occurred near the bus stop past Dyfatty traffic lights.

"If anyone witnessed anything, has any dashcam footage or knows anyone that does, please contact us quoting reference 2100358315."
