Six weeks of roadworks on Argyle Street to take place

Roadworks are to take place on Argyle Street over a six-week period starting next week.

Footway and carriageway repair works are taking place between Monday March 2 and Friday April 17.

There will be an eastbound closure between Anderston Cross and Douglas Street which will be in effect from Monday March 2 to Friday March 6.

Traffic management will also be in place over phased sections of the street.

All other phases of works will allow traffic flow in both directions under lane closures or contraflow system.

Drivers are warned to expect delays throughout the duration of the works. The works are also weather-dependent and information will be updated as required.

The eastbound diversion will be: A814 Clydeside Expressway > Finnieston Street > Anderston Quay > Broomielaw > Brown Street

The southbound diversion (from A804) will be: A804 Newton Street > Broomielaw > Brown Street
