Despite coasting to a third Premier League title in four seasons, in addition to winning another Carabao Cup, Pep Guardiola and key figures responsible for incomings and outgoings at the Etihad Stadium have wasted no time, or spared no expense, in their latest recruitment drive.

Indeed, having initially viewed Harry Kane as a priority target, City turned their attentions to Grealish and snapped him up, from Aston Villa, for a British record nine-figure sum.

As things stand, a follow-up pursuit for England teammate Kane is not deemed to be financially viable - despite a willingness from those two parties to make the move happen.
