Six players Barcelona want to offload in January transfer window

Barcelona are reportedly planning to offload up to six players in the upcoming January transfer window.

Ronald Koeman is still ringing the changes at the Nou Camp, having completed no less than 14 deals in the summer to find the right balance to his squad.

The likes of Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic were all shipped out, while Miralem Pjanic, Francisco Trincao and Sergino Dest arrived in Catalonia.

But technical secretary Ramon Planes has another big job on his hands this winter in the transfer market, despite uncertainty about his own job amid the unrest in the boardroom at Barcelona.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, the club are planning on selling defenders Junior Firpo and Samuel Umtiti, who have been deemed surplus to requirements this term.

Matheus Fernandes only arrived at Barca in the summer after agreeing a deal in January, but he is also on the list to be axed.

As is Danish striker Martin Braithwaite, who has been used regularly off the bench this term.

There are also plans to loan out youngsters Riqui Puig and Carles Alena, who are on the fringes of Ronald Koeman’s squad.

Coming in, the Blaugrana are keen to snap up Memphis Depay from Lyon and Eric Garcia from Manchester City.

Of course, there is also the small matter of Lionel Messi, who is being linked with a move to Manchester City after again complaining about his treatment at the Nou Camp.

"I'm tired of always being to blame for everything," stated the Argentine while on international duty.

Messi agreed to stay at the Nou Camp for the season to avoid getting into a legal battle with Barca.
