Six people in a Merseyside street land £1,000 each

Six people living in a Merseyside street have landed £1,000 each thanks to their postcode.

The lucky neighbours who live on The Roundway, in Hightown near Crosby, were announced winners with the People’s Postcode Lottery today.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners.

She said to the ECHO: “What lovely news to start your week! Congratulations to our winners, I hope this news has made their day.”

This particular draw was promoted by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association which have received over £2.2 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

The charity is known for its iconic guide dogs but also offers a range of services which help thousands of people with sight loss lead confident, independent and fulfilling lives.

A minimum of 32 percent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
