Six people died alone in Glasgow - now police are searching for their relatives

Six people died alone in Glasgow in the first week of March without any known relatives.

Staff at a Glasgow police office are urgently trying to track down relatives of those found dead within their homes.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who may know one of the deceased or their relatives.

Samantha Parker, 43, was found dead at an address in the Cessnock area of Glasgow on March 3.

Samantha lived in the Cardonald area of Glasgow but originated from the East Ayrshire area.

Lewis Somerled MacDonald was found dead within his home at Crawford Road, Milngavie, on March 1.

No relatives of the 79-year-old have been traced by officers so far but it is believed that he has a sister.

Russell Caldwell, 77, was found dead within his home on Tantallon Road, Shawlands, on March 3.

He has no relatives that are known to police.

Graham Docherty was found dead within his home on Shawhill Road on March 6.

Anyone who knows any of the 46-year-old's relatives is being asked to come forward.

James Robertson was found dead within his home at Wykeham Place, Drumchapel, on March 3.

Relatives of the 69-year-old are yet to come forward.

Anyone who has knowledge of any of the deceased's relatives is asked to contact the Administration Department at London Road Police Office on 0141 532 4765 during office hours or email GreaterGlasgowDASU@scotland.pnn.police.uk
