And the PFA's team of the season, which is voted for by the players themselves, recognises the dominance of Daniel Farke's team.
No fewer than SIX City players make the cut - Goalkeeper Tim Krul, defenders Max Aarons and Grant Hanley, midfielders Emi Buendia and Oliver Skipp (who was on loan from Tottenham ) and striker Teemu Pukki.
Strangely though, Watford finished second on 91 points and yet they are not represented in the XI.
In stark contrast Brentford, who won promotion to the top flight for the first time in 74 years at Wembley last week, have three players who make the grade.
Defenders Ethan Pinnock and Rico Henry are joined by Ivan Toney, whose 31 goals scored in the regular season is a new Championship record.
