Six new COVID-19 cases recorded in the ACT

The ACT has recorded the lowest number of new COVID-19 infections in nearly two weeks. (AAP)

Just six new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the ACT.

It's the lowest daily number of infections in the capital for nearly two weeks, following recent clusters at several Canberra schools.

And it comes amid a testing surge in Canberra, with more than 2000 negative results recorded in the past 24 hours.

The number of COVID cases in hospital have declined, and now stands at three.

Of those three patients, one is being treated in intensive care and is on a ventilator.

Vaccination rates have climbed and 96.6 per cent of Canberrans over 12 are now fully vaccinated.

There are now 173 active cases in the ACT community, with 1847 cases since the most recent outbreak started.
