Six Nations: Johnny Sexton returns as Andy Farrell makes six changes to face England

Captain Johnny Sexton returns to the Ireland side to face England on Saturday as one of six changes to Andy Farrell’s side.

The Leinster out-half replaces Joey Carbery, who drops to the bench, after missing the defeat to France last month with injury.

Ireland were untested two weeks ago against Italy in the Aviva Stadium as the visitors played an hour with 13 men following Epalahame Faiva’s red card.

The 36-year-old joins Leinster teammate Cian Healy, in for the injured Andrew Porter, among the six changes for the game in Twickenham on Saturday evening.

Munster captain Peter O’Mahony comes into the back row for Jack Conan, with Caelan Doris shifting to eight, while James Lowe, Hugo Keenan and James Ryan also come in.

Eddie Jones will name his England team for the clash at Twickenham this afternoon.

Replacements: Rob Herring, Dave Kilcoyne, Finlay Bealham, Iain Henderson, Jack Conan, Conor Murray, Joey Carbery, Robbie Henshaw.
