France still have it in their own hands to repeat as Six Nations champions, but Scotland and Ireland have made it a three-way title race on Super Saturday.
Holders Les Bleus saw their hopes of a first Grand Slam since 2022 dashed by the Scots at Murrayfield in a 90-point thriller after Ireland saw off a spirited Wales a day earlier.
There were bonus points to be had for each of the three remaining challengers in round four, which in France’s case crucially kept them top of the table on points difference over Scotland, who recovered from an opening day loss in Italy to beat both England and Wales.
Already out of the title conversation themselves before their historically ill-fated trip to Rome on the penultimate weekend, downtrodden England could still have a part to play in this championship race as they visit Paris in the tournament’s final game on Saturday night.
Ireland, meanwhile, were beaten in France on matchday one but have since roared back into contention by putting Italy, England and Wales to the sword. They host Scotland in round five, having not lost to Gregor Townsend’s side in Dublin for nine years.
