Six Nations 2019: Where to watch the Ireland vs England rugby game

One of the biggest sporting events of the year is set to kick off the first weekend of February, with England taking on Ireland in the Six Nations at 4.45pm on Saturday February 2.

The tournament will be a clear indicator of form ahead of the World Cup in September, with England going in as second favourites behind Ireland.

While the first Six Nations game takes place on Friday night, between France and Wales, February 2 is the first chance to see Eddie Jones’s side in action.

Not for the first time over recent months, England are facing something of a minor injury crisis. The side could be without captain and key-man Owen Farrell, with the fly-half a doubt for the game following hand surgery. Brad Shields, Joe Launchbury, co-captain Dylan Hartley and Chris Robshaw are also struggling to return to full fitness.

However, Mako and Billy Vunipola and Ellis Genge return to the squad for the first time since the tour of South Africa last summer having recovered from injuries.

They’ll come up against a strong Ireland side, who come into the tournament as reigning champions.

Your local sports pub is likely to be showing the match, but here are some of our favourite places in London to catch the action.
