Six more Renfrewshire schools have been hit with cases of coronavirus after two Paisley nurseries recorded their first infections.
Parents have been told a Test and Protect operation is now underway at Castlehead High in Paisley for a fifth time since schools returned in August.
Letters were also sent out to families on Monday warning of cases at Bushes, Williamsburgh and Ralston primaries - all in Paisley - as well as at Howwood Primary and St James' Primary in Renfrew.
It comes after infections emerged at Bushes and Glenburn Early Learning and Childcare Centres in Paisley over the weekend.
It is the first time Howwood Primary has reported a case of the virus.
Linda de Caestecker, director of public health at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC), said in her letters to parents: "Working closely with the schools and local authority, NHSGGC has carried out a careful risk assessment to establish a list of close contacts within the schools.
"All close contacts are being advised to self-isolate as a precaution and being given appropriate advice and support. The schools will work with parents and carers to minimise the disruption to learning for those pupils who need to self-isolate.
"I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the general advice currently in place. If anyone in your household develops symptoms of Covid-19, the symptomatic person should self-isolate and be tested as soon as possible. Everyone else in the household should also stay at home if someone you live with or someone in your extended household has symptoms."
