A six-month-old baby girl has tragically died suddenly in a flat as police launch a probe into the untimely death.
Emergency services scrambled to a flat in the Summerston area of Glasgow around 9am this morning in response to reports.
However, the youngster was pronounced dead at the scene.
Pictures on social media show a heavy presence of emergency services at the scene of the incident with four police vehicles and two ambulances in attendance.
Reports claim that the Criminal Investigation Department were on the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called following the sudden death of a six-month-old baby girl in the Balmartin Road area of Summerston, Glasgow around 9am on Saturday, September 3, 2022.
"Enquiries are ongoing.”
