Six members of Special Olympics team mysteriously vanish after leaving bags at hotel

Six members of Haiti's Special Olympics delegation have mysteriously disappeared while participating in this year's games.

Police and other local authorities including Walt Disney World, the hosts for the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games, are scrambling to find them with members of the public being asked to contact police if any of the six are spotted.

The missing individuals are all men between the ages of 18 and 32, who were in the country for a "soccer competition", according to a bulletin from the local sheriff's office in Florida, US.

Only one of the six is believed to have an intellectual disability and the other five are not Special Olympics athletes.

On June 6 all of them turned in their room keys and mysteriously disappeared leaving their personal belongings and bags.
