Six Man City stars we want to see on 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' - and what would happen

You’ll tell your mates you’re counting down the days until Premier League football returns, but what you’re really waiting for is the start of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Go on, you can admit it, I’m the same.

With the return of the popular show on the horizon, we thought we’d take a look at how some of our Manchester City heroes might fare if they were thrown into the castle/jungle alongside some of our favourite B list celebs...

Pep Guardiola

The designated chef of the group.

Doesn’t let anyone near his stove but is convinced by Ann Widdecombe one afternoon to let Dev from Coronation Street have a go. Guardiola spends 45 minutes giving him a tactical rundown of how to cook the perfect batch of rice before laughing at him as he asks to borrow his knitted apron (or the 'aprigan' as he calls it).

The City boss watches over like a hawk before realising he’s only boiled the rice once despite his strict orders of a double-boil.

“TWIIIIIIIIIIIIICE” he bellows as he frantically thrusts two fingers aloft. The camp are terrified and Pep storms back to his hammock and throws his aprigan on the floor in disgust.

Jack Grealish

The late arrival in camp.

Instantly becomes the nation’s sweetheart as teenage girls all over the country flock to their parents’ home phone to vote for him to win.

Spends 45 minutes in the shower every day completing his daily haircare routine and singing ‘Mysterious Girl’ by Peter Andre - he knows what he’s doing.

Ederson

Unquestionably the hard man of the group.

Didn’t really say much for the opening few days but left the camp in awe as he prepared to take on his first bush tucker trial and scoffed as Ant and Dec offered him a pair of safety goggles.

Doesn’t understand why the rest of the group are moaning about being hungry as he sits there eating insects from the ground.

Dennis Wise likes to make out like he’s the alpha male in camp, then one afternoon Wise is taking a shower when Ederson strolls up with his towel and just stares into his soul… Wise grabs said toothbrush and runs back to camp screaming.

Scott Carson

The father figure of the group.

Sits in his hammock all day doing nothing, so much so that the rest of the group almost forget he’s there, but he’s always at the forefront of the celebrations when Carol Vorderman arrives back with a full quota of stars for the night.

Becomes something of a cult hero purely for the fact he does nothing yet gets by on being a likeable guy.

Bernardo Silva

The cornerstone of the camp’s success.

Asks to leave every single day yet somehow makes his way to the final and is still loved by everyone. Spends the majority of his time winding up the local wildlife and drinking copious amounts of coffee.

Will do absolutely any job that’s asked of him and instantly becomes Ant and Dec’s favourite.

John Stones

The funny guy of the group.

Forms the unlikeliest of bonds with Vanessa Feltz and just comes across as a really nice guy.

Constantly makes the camp laugh but they’re all aware he’s got a mistake in him, yet Guardiola overlooks his occasional mishap and just decides to randomly tell the camp Stones has huge, erm, character ?

Goes all the way and is crowned the winner, though his ceremony is soured a little as Bernardo refuses to applaud his success while Ederson just crosses his arms and stares at him.
