Six lucky Mansfield Woodhouse residents land £1k each in People's Postode Lottery

Six residents in Mansfield Woodhouse have scooped £1,000 each after their street was drawn in the People's Postcode Lottery.

The lucky neighbours in Canterbury Close have started the new month off on a high upon winning the prize when their postcode, NG19 8QE, was drawn on Wednesday, July 1.

Every week the People's Postcode Lottery dishes out thousands of pounds worth of prizes to lucky winners across the country.

Prizes money ranges from as little as £10 all the way up to a postcode millions win, with prizes of £1,000 and £30,000 in between.

Tickets are based on postcodes and only playing streets are entered into the draws, with a subscription costing £10 per month.

Sales also directly benefit charities supported by the postcode lottery, with a minimum of 32 percent of sales going to them each week.

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Jeff Brazier said: "A big congratulations to our winners in Mansfield today!

"What a great way to start the month. I’m sure they’ll enjoy spending the cash and treat themselves to something special."

The draw was promoted by The Ramblers, which has received over £8.8 million in funding so far.

The charity seeks to look after paths and green spaces all over the country, and encourage people to get outside to boost their health and happiness.
