Tragedy struck on Saturday in Idaho Falls as six people lost their lives in a devastating two-car accident on U.S. Highway 20. The incident, which involved a large passenger van, also left ten others injured, all of whom were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, as confirmed by the Idaho State Police.
The fatal crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. when an eastbound pickup truck veered across the centerline and collided with a westbound passenger van. The impact of the collision resulted in the driver of the van and five passengers succumbing to their injuries at the scene. Additionally, nine other passengers from the van and the driver of the pickup truck were also injured and required medical attention.
Authorities have refrained from disclosing further details regarding the accident, such as the origin and destination of the 15 individuals traveling in the van. The Idaho State Police are currently leading the investigation into the tragic incident, although they were unavailable for immediate comment when reached out to by The Associated Press.
