Six independent London cinemas receive backing from £30m Cultural Recovery Fund

Six cinemas in London are among 42 independent movie theatres nationally to share £650,000 from a fund to help them through the pandemic.

They are receiving the funding from the Government’s £30 million Cultural Recovery Fund for Independent Cinemas.

Bellingham Film Palace in Lewisham, Boleyn Cinema in East Ham, Lexi Cinema in Kensal Green, Kino in Bermondsey, Backyard Cinema in Wandsworth and Catford Mews are benefiting from the fund’s first awards, announced today by Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden.
