Six Glasgow cocktail spots you need to visit this weekend for drinks and partying

There are so many places to have a drink in Glasgow's city centre but when it comes to actually deciding on a place to go with friends or family, it can be pretty hard work.

So whether you’re up for a game of golf whilst drinking cocktails (because who isn't?) or think candy-themed drinks in a swish spot looks like something more up your street, we've got you covered.

Here w'e rounded up some of the best cocktail spots in Glasgow for you to try that should immediately be put on your list of places to visit.

And if you try any, or own a cocktail bar in Glasgow, let us know in the comments.

1. The Left Bank

The trendy Left Bank opened back in July 2006 and is located in the heart of Glasgow's West End - just a stone's throw from Kelvingrove Park and close to Glasgow University.

Their website reads: "The Left Bank was a Clydesdale bank that had been left, it is also on the bank of the River Kelvin (the right one!) and in the university area of the West End, quite bohemian and arty and full of students, just like its namesake in Paris.

"The menu was key to our initial success and set the path which we have followed ever since, using local suppliers and changing our menus with the seasons to reflect what is plentiful and with few food miles."

What we would order: Lychee Gin Fizz - Edinburgh gin, kwai feh lychee lemon, rhubarb bitters and prosecco.

View their menu here.

33-35 Gibson St, Glasgow G12 8NU

2. Tabac

If you've visited Glasgow's main shopping location on Buchannan Street, you've definitely walked past Tabac.

This watering hole is located just by the Lighthouse and what's better than a cocktail with a charcuterie board?

We're seriously drooling over here!

Their menu is not online yet but when they have updated it, you can view their menu here.

10 Mitchell Lane, Glasgow, G1 3NU

3. Kilts and Kocktails

If you're after a drink with friends, Kilts and Kocktails make great drinks from Drumstick cocktails to Frozen Daiquiris - you can't go wrong with this people-pleasing spot.

They've also recently had all drinks at just £2 - it's a winner in our books.

What we would order: Candyfloss Martini - Absolut Citron Vodka and Chambord shaken together with apple and lemon juice.

Check out their menu here.

408 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow

4. Bunker

Cocktail trees seem to be very trendy and it's not hard to see why - look at them!

Bunker on Bath Street have your typical French Martinis and Pornstar Martinis but also boast mouth-watering Ice Blast cocktails and Violet Gin Cosmopolitans - oo-er!

So if you're after a celebration with friends, these could be the perfect, and most Instagrammable, cocktails to have!

What we would order: Cocktail Tree - Ice Blasts (pictured).

193-199 Bath St, Glasgow G2 4HU

5. Saint Judes

We recently mentioned Saint Judes on our 'where to eat in Glasgow for under a tenner' guide and we're about to recommend them again.

As well as the classics, Saint Judes also make an Irn-Bru Daiquiri which has Bacardi Carta Blanca, Fresh lemon juice, gomme and of course, a can of the good old Scottish drink.

In addition to this, they also have sweet shop themed drinks from Haribo to Milkybar, Twister and even Strawberry Cornetto!

What we would order: Haribo Strawbs - Absolut, Bosford pink gin, strawberry syrup, lemon juice and apple juice.

View their menu here.

190 Bath St, Glasgow G2 4HG

6. Fore Play Crazy Golf

What's better than drinking with friends whilst playing Glasgow themed Golf?!

If you're curious, their courses consists of two nine hole Glasgow-inspired courses which you can view here.

Their website reads: "Putt your way through, over and under obstacles such as the Finnieston Crane and the Waverley wheel as you take on some crazy-golf carnage. We will warn you though, the courses may be competition-inducing, tantrum-inspiring and (hopefully not) cheat-encouraging (but never say never).

What we would order: The Water(melon) Hazard - Midori Liqueur, Sweet and sour mix, apple juice and grenadine.

View their menu here.

124 Portman St, Kinning Park, Glasgow G41 1EJ
