Six central heating tanks stolen in burglary

Thieves targeted a Nottingham business during the coronavirus lockdown.

Nottinghamshire Police are investigating a burglary at Stonebridge Fireplaces in Daleside Road.

The incident happened at around 5.40pm on Friday, April 3.

Police are now appealing for witnesses in order to catch those responsible for carrying out the crime.

Inspector James Walker, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Officers are investigating a report of a burglary at Stonebridge Fireplaces on Daleside Road, Nottingham, which is believed to have happened at around 5.40pm on Friday, April 3.

"After breaking into the business the offenders stole six central heating tanks and a quantity of scrap metal from the premises.

"Our enquiries are ongoing and we are urging anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, or any drivers who may have recorded dash cam footage, to please get in touch with us.

"Any information you have could help our investigation. If you have any information, please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 282 of 4 April 2020, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
