Six celebrating after winning People's Postcode Lottery - how to play

Six people in a town near Bristol are celebrating today after winning £1,000 each, thanks to sharing a lucky postcode.

Neighbours in Yew Tree Gardens, Nailsea netted the windfall when BS48 4XR was announced as a Daily Prize winner in the People’s Postcode Lottery.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners.

She said: "I’m so pleased for our winners, what a great surprise to start their day!

"I hope they treat themselves to something nice with their winnings."

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales from the People's Postcode Lottery goes directly to charities.

Its players across the UK have raised more than £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

Yesterday's winning draw (April 23) was promoted by the Wildlife Trusts, which have received over £12.6 million in funding from players of the subscription lottery.
