Six by Nico goes to Paris - take a look at the new French inspired menu

As much as we love Glasgow, after months of being stuck indoors without being able to travel, we're all dreaming of an escape to a different city.

And we'd be lying if we said Paris wasn't top of our wish list. That's why the creative geniuses at Six by Nico have come up with a menu to whisk us away to the city of romance - all without having to leave Glasgow.

Six by Nico is a name familiar to any Glasgow foodie worth their salt, with the restaurant serving up a themed menu that changes every six weeks. From November, guests can enjoy divine Parisian flavours at the popular restaurant, with a mouth-watering menu that's sure to impress even the most hardcore Francophile.

We can't speak French, but we'll let the food do the talking...

On the six-course tasting menu customers can expect:

  • French onion - Comte Foam & Toasted Sourdough
  • Beef tartare - Cured Egg Yolk, Cornichon & Sourdough Crisp
  • Chestnut Veloute - Celeriac, Tommé Agnolotti, Apple & Lovage
  • Hake with coco bean - Morteau Sausage, Saffron Rouille & Bouillabaisse Sauce
  • Breast of duck - Truffle & Puy Lentil Fricassee, Parsley Root Puree, Crispy Parsley Root, Preserved Quince & Blackberry
  • Baked Savarin - Orchard Pear, Vanilla Ganache & Champagne

Chef Nico Simeone said: "There is absolutely nothing better than French cuisine for millions of people all around the world. Fine-dining restaurants abound in Paris, and the city's culinary industry is legendary."

Diners can book a trip a culinary trip to Paris, with the French-inspired menu Monday November 1st until Sunday 12th December.

The menu is priced at £32 per person with the option to enjoy an expertly selected wine and specialist drinks pairing for an additional £26 at each restaurant. As ever, there is a vegetarian alternative available for every course, as well as Parisian theme inspired snack sides.

Nico added: "Food trends come and go, but traditional French cooking techniques never go out of style, and the city has something to suit every budget, taste, and appetite".
