The Yelahanka police on Saturday arrested six persons and booked two juveniles for sexually assaulting a minor girl repeatedly after blackmailing her with a video which they had recorded during the act.
The police said the victim was crying inconsolably and started giving lame excuses when her worried parents asked her for the reason. She finally narrated the ordeal to her parents, following which they filed a complaint with the police on Tuesday.
Based on the complaint, the police tracked down the accused and arrested six of them, while two juveniles have been taken into custody for further investigations.
The accused used to harass her and also threatened to kill if she revealed the truth to anyone, the police said.
The accused have been booked under sexual assault and also under various sections of POCSO Act. The police suspect the involvement of more persons and efforts are on to track them down.
