Six men have been arrested after a group were allegedly hunting with lurcher dogs in a North Dublin field.
Gardai came across a group in a field in off the Old Road near Rush on Sunday morning and found they were on the land without permission.
Six men, aged 20s to 40s, were arrested and taken to Coolock Garda Station.
A spokeswoman told Dublin Live the patrol was part of Operation Thor.
She said: "Gardai on ‘rural patrols’ as part of Operation Thor, attended a Public Order Incident on Old Road, Rush Dublin on November 30, 2019 at approximately 11.50am.
"Six males were discovered allegedly hunting with lurcher dogs on land without permission.
"Six men (40s and 20s) were arrested and are currently detained at Coolock in relation to public order offences."
One of the men has since been released and the dogs are in his care.
Locals noticed a heavy garda presence in the area and it's believed around six dogs were in in the field with a group of men.
