Israeli Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen has revealed that six African countries, including Sudan, could possibly take a strategic decision and change their perspective while voting in the UN on issues relevant to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
He said Israel is exerting restless efforts to cause a dramatic change in this context and countries are showing high responsiveness. Cohen noted that this approach isn’t restricted to voting in the UN.
Africa is a big and vital continent, therefor its countries have an impact on Israeli-related decisions, Cohen said.
Some of these states share joint interests with Israel and this opens the window for more cooperation in several sectors, he added.
Cohen disclosed a study prepared on this matter, under a professional framework, which asserted that at least six African countries will probably vote in favor of Israel if there were joint interests.
According to the study, the states include South Sudan, Togo, Rwanda, Cameroon, and Congo.
These states are on good terms with Israel which paves the way for cementing ties especially over issues related to security, terrorism, infrastructure, natural resources, technology, education, agriculture, health, and water.
