Sisters lose 10 stone after being hypnotised in Spain

Two sisters lost ten stone between them after having hypnosis to give them a 'mental' gastric band.

Sharon Ward and Jackie Hay appeared on This Morning to speak about the revolutionary procedure they have undergone in the past year.

Jackie and Sharon travelled to Spain for the four day course, which aims to reset and reeducate the mind around food.

Each sister has lost just over five stone and say their lives are vastly improved because of it.

Jackie said: "I just want to eat nutritionally healthy food now, I never have takeaways or anything, my mind doesn't go there anymore.

"If I'm hungry I'll eat to fuel my body and I feel so much better.

"If you offered me a glass of bleach I wouldn't drink it because it's not good for me.

"So, if you offered me something that's not nutritionally sound I would just think "no".

"And it's taken away all the hard work, I don't get cravings for bad food anymore.

"I feel a little snap in my tummy when I'm eating and I just leave the food because I know I'm full.

While Sharon said: "I also don't have to eat large volumes to feel full anymore."

"I had a lot of health issues before I started and my blood results went down to normal very quickly after I lost the weight."

And Jackie said: "I feel fantastic but I can also stop myself eating in stressful situations - I know it won't help."

And Eamonn joked : "Do you have the number of this hypnotist?"

Dr Ranji also appeared beside the sister and said that anyone can practise mindful eating.

He said: "You need to look at your portion size, don't eat in front of TV, chew food slowly and you will eat less when you do that and lose weight."
