Two sisters facing accusations last month that they sexually abused the same 16-year-old boy have pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in exchange for court supervision.
Andrea Sereno, 40 and her sister, Esmeralda Sereno, 41, were each charged with felony sexual abuse and ordered held on $50,000 bail last month when prosecutors accused them of carrying on a consensual sexual relationship with the teenager.

In separate hearings Tuesday afternoon at the Leighton Criminal Court Building, each sister pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of battery before Judge Susana Ortiz, who sentenced them to 12 months of court supervision.
Andrea Sereno wore blue Department of Corrections scrubs at the hearing, her hands cuffed together, while Esmerelda Sereno appeared in a bright yellow jumpsuit.
Both women have been jailed since their initial hearings in April and were assisted at the hearing by a Spanish-language interpreter. Neither chose to make a statement prior to be sentenced.
In addition to supervision, each woman was ordered to undergo alcohol and drug counseling, pay $164 in court fees and fines and have no contact with the boy until their supervision ends on May 14, 2020.
At their bail hearings, prosecutors had said Esmeralda Sereno had carried on a sexual relationship with the boy for six months while she was also dating his 22-year-old brother. Prosecutors said Andrea Sereno had sex with the boy several times in March and sent him nude photos over social media.
A woman who attended the hearing on behalf of the victim declined to comment.
