The sister of an Australian man reported missing in Callander has said he has "left the world too soon" as she announced his passing.
Police had issued a search operation for 24-year-old Cain Poulsen, who had moved to Scotland just weeks ago.
Cain, who had been working in Glasgow, was last seen in the town's Main Street around 12pm on Tuesday.
But in a tragic update, police have now confirmed that a man's body has been recovered from the Bracklinn area of Callander and while no formal identification has taken place, Cain's family have been informed of the find.
In a heart-breaking post on Facebook, sister Alexis paid tribute to the 24-year-old, writing: "It’s with heavy hearts that we have been told of the passing of our beloved little brother, Cain.
"To each and every person that shared our posts, gathered info, messaged us and did everything they could to find Cain, we cannot thank you enough.
"Funeral information will be shared once arrangements have been made to bring him home.
"You left this world too soon, but you'll never leave our hearts, lil bro".

A Forth Valley Police update said: "Around 10am on Wednesday, 24 November, 2021 the body of a man was found in the Bracklinn area of Callander.
"Formal identification has still to take place, however the family of 24-year-old Cain Poulsen who had been reported missing from Callander, have been informed.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact cause of death which is not being treated as suspicious.
"A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
