Sister of tragic Jason Corbett claims his wife and father-in-law 'tried to destroy his character' after murdering him

Sister of tragic Jason Corbett has claimed that his wife and father-in-law “tried to destroy his character” after murdering him.

The comments were made in an upcoming episode of CBS’s true crime show 48 hours which is set to air on Saturday.

The hour-long episode will include an interview with Jason’s sister Tracey Corbett-Lynch amongst other people.

Tracey said in the preview: “The Martens didn’t just murder Jason, they tried to destroy his character.

Tragic Limerick dad Jason Corbett's family appear in CBS documentary to challenge 'Molly Marten's lies'

“I would’ve done anything I needed to do to get justice for Jason.”

Limerick man Jason, 39, was found with fatal head injuries at the home he shared with his second wife Molly in Walburg, North Carolina, on August 2, 2015.

Molly, 34, and her 68-year-old father Tom, a retired FBI agent, were convicted of the second-degree murder.

The pair were sentenced to 20-25 years in prison but have appealed the convictions.

Jason’s young children Jack and Sarah – whose mother died of an asthma attack in 2006 – were in the house at the time of his death and they now live with Tracey and her husband Dave in Limerick.

The documentary will also explore the trial and will see interviews with Jason’s friends, family, Molly’s friends, law enforcement, and defense attorneys.

The documentary is set to air on Saturday.
