CHAIYAPHUM: A 35-year-old man was found murdered in his bathroom with multiple stab wounds and a slashed throat at a house in Chatturat district early on Tuesday morning .

The dead man was identified as Wuthichai Wamin.

He was found by his elder sister Sunisa, 38, who was alerted that something was wrong about 1.30am by the sound of dogs barking outside their home in Ban Non Jan of tambon Lahan.

Ms Sunisa said she went upstairs to her brother's bedroom and saw a pool of blood and a bloody trail leading to the bathroom.

In the bathroom, she found her brother naked and bleeding from savage wounds and barely breathing. He died while she was trying to clothe him to take him to hospital.

Police from the Chatturat station said he had about 30 stab wounds and a slashed throat. He had also been clubbed on the back of the head and his skull was broken.

There were many signs of a fight and of his room having been searched.

Police were investigating.
