Sisters Bonnie and Bella hadn't seen each other since they were pups - but 10 years later a chance meeting in Belfast has brought them back together.
Ulster Rugby player John Cooney, whose girlfriend Claire owns Bonnie, shared the sisters' reunion on social media.
Claire was just a teenager when her family brought the puppy from England to Galway while Bonnie's sister Bella went to owners in Belfast.
But she never forgot Bella's name, or the city she was destined for.
John said: "We thought, maybe we can find the sister in Belfast because Claire was certain that Bella had gone to Belfast."
Cooney and his girlfriend were having lunch in the city when a stranger stopped to pet Bella, a Lagotto Romagnolo.
Known as the Italian truffle dog, they are bred at only a handful of kennels in the UK.
"He said he knew somebody who had one, we got really excited thinking that’s pretty unlikely we’ve never known someone to have them. [his friend] came and opened up his boot where a dog was sitting and Claire jumped up and goes 'is her name Bella?' and then we knew," John added.
"We’re going to meet up hopefully and have a little doggy playdate."
