Sisi, Putin Discuss Libya Developments

Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi and Russian President Vladimir Putin held telephone talks on Friday over the latest developments in Libya.

Egyptian presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said the leaders agreed on the importance of intensifying joint efforts in order to reach a settlement in the Libyan crisis.

They also stressed the need to combat militias and terrorist organizations and put an end to illegal foreign meddling in Libya’s affairs.

Sisi stated that Cairo was keen on deepening its relations with Moscow on all levels, hailing the significant development projects that the two parties are executing in Egypt.

For his part, Putin stressed Russia’s keenness on developing relations further with Egypt.
