One of the more impressive kits revealed a while back was that of Siren from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and now we know it is coming out this November.
Siren is Artifice that lives high above Alrest and can be commanded by Mythra and Pyra to fire powerful particle beams.
It’s an impressive looking mecha and is something you unlock after the game is finished. So to have Kotobukiya give it the kit treatment is a bit surprising though entirely welcomed.
The assembled kit of Siren is also around 30 cm in height, from the base of the stand to the tip of blades. So this is definitely an imposing display piece.
It’s worth highlighting though that this is a model kit that will need to be assembled and is not a pre-built statue.
Due to its size and complexity, this Siren kit isn’t exactly cheap either. Retailing for 12,000 yen in Japan (or around $106) this is quite a bit more than most kits, especially of the gunpla variety.
However, if you pre-order this Siren kit from HobbyLink Japan, they have it already discounted at 9,600 yen (or around $85), so that is a decent saving to be had.
Released on November 30, this Siren kit will make a nice addition to the already burgeoning number of toys for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, so if you had fun with the game you may want to also take the plunge with this kit.
As someone that enjoyed Xenoblade Chronicles 2, I am happy that more of the designs from the game are being made into toys and now kits. Especially as the Siren itself is one of the most impressive designs in the game, this kit certainly looks like it will do justice to that.
