Sir Rod Stewart's grandchild named after Maggie May singer in sweet tribute

Sir Rod Stewart is soon set to be a grandad yet again with his son Liam Stewart and partner Nicole Artukovich preparing to welcome a baby this month.

Expecting a baby boy, the proud parents-to-be have already decided on a very special name for their first child in a nod to the Maggie May singer himself.

The 28-year-old and son to the Hoops-daft singer, who's mum is model Rachel Hunter, Rod's second wife, had a baby shower last week with friends and family in sunny Los Angeles.

And his name has been revealed with Liam's mum, Rachel, confirming her grandson's name during an interview in New Zealand. According to the family member, he will be named Louie Mark Roderick Stewart, with one of his middle names of course a tribute to his grandfather, reports the Daily Record.

Mum-to-be Nicole shared a series of sweet snaps of the gathering taken on a Polaroid camera. She wrote: "Our little guy is so blessed. We have the most beautiful and loving family and friends…Thank you to my best friend Chanelle and my sisters for giving us a day to remember and my mom for hosting. We love all of you and all those who couldn’t make it but were there in spirit."

And many family and friends commented on the post.

Liam's step-mum Penny Lancaster wrote: "Happiness."

And Liam's mum Rachel simply posted a blue heart emoji.

One friend wrote: "Truly such a perfect day! Can’t wait for Louie to join the crew."

Another added: "Can’t wait to meet baby Louie."

But his family is only set to get bigger with his daughter Ruby, also expecting a baby boy with her fiancé Jack Kalic soon.
