Rod Stewart turned 78 today and fans around the world flocked to send the rocker a special birthday message.
Many took the opportunity to share the Maggie May singer's best bits over the years, by posting a series of iconic throwback snaps.
And the birthday boy shared them on to his Instagram story.
First up to send him a birthday wish was Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood. On Instagram, the former Small Faces musician posted a pic of Rod with the duo's old band and wrote: "Happy birthday @sirrodstewart! Pictures were then shared of Rod in his heydey, featuring the Do Ya Think I'm Sexy legend with musical icons such as Cher, Dolly Parton, Tina Turner and Cyndi Lauper.
The die-hard Celtic fan shared all the snaps on his story. In one picture with US singers Cher and Dolly, Rod can be seen wearing tight red trousers with a black and white striped top as the two singers cuddle into him.
In another photo, Sir Rod dons a bright blue suit as he takes to the stage with Girls Just Wanna Have Fun singer Cindi.
Earlier this week, Rod had his fans in stitches after he announced his daughter Ruby was set to welcome a baby boy.
But in true Rod fashion, he couldn't help but mention his beloved Celtic during the gender reveal .
Ruby announced the lovely news on Instagram, she wrote: "Out of all of the things that happened in 2022 you were by far the most beautiful…We can’t wait to meet you…Baby boy Kalick coming in April…", however her rocker dad was given the honour of announcing the gender to their whole family during a get-together.
In the clip, the 77-year-old can be seen tearing open an envelope which contained the baby's gender inside before announcing, "it's a boy!"
He can then be seen celebrating with his family before chanting "Mon the Celtic" then going on to sing a tune "welcome to the Stewart family".
