I've just had it confirmed. The Mail and (I'm told) Sky are already running the story. He'll be unveiled tomorrow morning at Scotland Yard. I'm told it was all very civilised between Jacqui and Boris and that their agreement on Sir Paul by a narrow margin reflected a general consensus among key interested parties, including the MPA (at least one member of which will be very pleased). Sir Paul is seen as businesslike, efficient and ambitious for the right reasons. More after I've had a bath - I've been playing football and I really pong.
