Sir Mick Jagger steps out with fiancée Melanie Hamrick at V&A Summer Party after teasing Rolling Stones tour return

Sir Mick Jagger and his fiancée Melanie Hamrick led the celebrity arrivals at the V&A Summer Party on Wednesday evening, as stars from across music, fashion, film and the arts gathered to celebrate the event's 10th anniversary.

The Rolling Stones frontman, 82, looked in high spirits as he posed with Hamrick, 38, at the annual fundraiser held at the V&A Museum in South Kensington.

They were joined by a host of famous faces including Sir Bob Geldof, Ellie Goulding, Maya Jama, Zawe Ashton, CMAT and David Furnish.

Eve, Olly Alexander, Sadie Soverall, Edie Campbell, Isabella Wei, Anaïs Gallagher, Munroe Bergdorf, Jamie Lloyd and designer Foday Dumbuya, were also there.

Also in attendance were members of this year's Summer Party Committee, including Vick Hope and David Furnish.

While designer Harris Reed, Sir Grayson Perry, Sandy Powell, Mariella Frostrup, Yinka Ilori and Molly Goddard, lent their support to the museum's annual celebration of creativity.

Guests were welcomed with an exclusive Nyetimber reception in the John Madejski Garden before enjoying a live performance from Jessie Ware and a DJ set by Donnie Sunshine.

Jagger and former American Ballet Theatre dancer Hamrick first met backstage at a Rolling Stones concert in Tokyo in 2014.

After keeping their relationship largely out of the spotlight, they welcomed their son, Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger, in 2016 and announced their engagement earlier this year.

The appearance comes as Jagger hinted the Rolling Stones could return to the road in 2027 in support of their forthcoming 25th studio album, Foreign Tongues, due for release on 10 July.

Speaking on Sunday TODAY in the US, he said: “I'd love to. I really want to. I'm ready to go.

“I don't think we're gonna do shows this year, but hopefully we'll do shows next year.”

More than six decades after forming, the Rolling Stones remain one of the biggest live acts in the world.

Their most recent North American tour grossed almost $250 million and sold around 880,000 tickets.

Reflecting on the band's new record, Jagger said: “It has a lot of styles in it. You hope every track has got something for everyone. That's why you've got, you know, 14 tracks.”
