Britain’s best-loved naturalist Sir David Attenborough is back on the small screen with a new series, Dynasties.
Over five episodes, the national treasure will focus on “celebrated yet endangered” species from across our beautiful planet.
The new series, which starts tonight, marks the first nature programme Attenborough has voiced since Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II. The new show also comes days after the news of Our Planet, which will see Attenborough lend his voice to a Netflix documentary.

What is Dynasties about?
Each episode is dedicated to a different species, fighting for survival under pressure from the outside world and their own kind.
Emperor penguins, tigers, lions, chimpanzees and hunting dogs will all feature.
What can we expect from Attenborough's first episode?
The first episode focuses on chimpanzees, with one particular animal called David, in Senegal, as he battles with others trying to fight him for leadership of the dynasty.
David has ruled for three years, without challenge, but a changing habitat poses the alpha male’s biggest threat yet.
When is Dynasties on TV?
Dynasties begins on Sunday, November 11 at 8.30pm on BBC One.
The hour-long episodes will be available shortly after on BBC iPlayer.
