Glasgow's most famous son Sir Billy Connolly is to front a brand-new series looking back at his 50 years as a stand-up comedian and offering 'an unrivalled glimpse into his life'.
The new five-part show, which will air on British comedy channel Gold, will see Billy focus on one topic her episode (such as work and travel), and will showcase some classic and hidden treasures from his legendary stand-up routines over the years.
Speaking about the show, Billy said: "I'm really looking forward to sharing a few of my favourite moments from over the years...it's been brilliant, and I hope you'll come along for the ride!"

Announcing the series this morning on Twitter, Gold tweeted: "Legendary comic Billy Connolly is coming to Gold with a reflective look back at 50 years of stand up.
"Offering an unrivalled glimpse into his life, Billy will focus on one topic per episode (work, travel etc), showcasing classic & hidden treasures of his stand up routines."
The UKTV Original is produced by Moonshine Features and will air on Gold later this year.
