Sir Alex Ferguson to have £100k dinner date with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp

Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will have dinner together - and it's all in the name of charity.

Ferguson has helped raise £405,000 for the NHS as a 'thank you' after his life-saving brain surgery in May.

The legendary Scot threw a charity event at a Manchester hotel this month, which was hosted by actor James Nesbitt and attended by the likes of Klopp.

And it’s been reported by the Sun that Fred Drone, the owner of betting company Betfred, contributed £100,000 to the cause.

Ferguson was put in an induced coma and spent four days in intensive care before he was discharged from hospital.
