Sir Alex Ferguson shares his verdict on Manchester United transfer target Jadon Sancho

Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has shared his verdict on Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho amid the transfer push for the 21-year-old.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are pushing to sign the England international from Dortmund, having been unable to secure an agreement last year.

Any deal is due to be delayed by the European Championship, where Sancho is on duty with England, but the signs are promising for the conclusion of a transfer.

As reported by MEN Sport, United are confident of signing Sancho this summer and Ferguson has now shared his thoughts on the former Manchester City youngster.

Should Jadon Sancho start for England vs Scotland? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

His comments came ahead of England's clash against Scotland on Friday at Wembley and he highlighted Sancho as a potential issue for his nation.

“I think a lot of Jadon Sancho, with his one-on-one duels, as an assister and scorer, he is extremely dangerous," he told SportBild via Sport Witness.

"He has so much potential, he helps the team. That’s why he’ll be valuable to England over the course of the tournament."

Victory for England against Scotland would secure a spot in the knockout stages of Euro 2020, following the 1-0 triumph against Croatia on Sunday.

Sancho did not feature in that game and was instead one of three players to be omitted from the matchday squad, alongside United captain Harry Maguire and Chelsea full-back Ben Chilwell.

England also face the Czech Republic in the group stage and may face a mammoth test against France, Germany or Portugal in the first round of the knockout stages.
