Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson was fantastic at many things during his managerial career and it appears he has an ability for knowing what's to come as well.
Since Ferguson retired, Liverpool and United have flipped around in many senses as United struggle to make the top four and Liverpool battle for the Premier League title.
In light of the story in The Mirror about how Klopp decided to turn down United just before Louis van Gaal joined as manager back in May, 2014, it seemed like a perfect time to dig back into the archives.
The international break is an ideal moment for reflection and when it comes to Liverpool and how they have managed to challenge the elite whilst United struggle, this is something Ferguson almost predicted three years ago.
Back then the former United boss was discussing how Klopp had turned around the atmosphere at Anfield before he offered an ominous verdict.
"He has done a really good job and revived Liverpool's enthusiasm," Ferguson told The Telegraph in 2016. "It can happen that big clubs lose it. For two decades, Liverpool changed managers without building their own identity.
"You can now well and truly sense that you have to count them in this year. You can see Klopp's dedication on the sideline, I'm convinced his work in training is similar. He's a strong personality. That's absolutely vital at a big club.
"I'm worried about him because the one thing United don't want is Liverpool to get above us."
Liverpool may be above United in the league at the moment but they're still behind when it comes to how many league titles both clubs have won.
