Sir Alex Ferguson asked which Man Utd players stood out in Treble reunion game

Sir Alex Ferguson says raising money for the Manchester United Foundation was the key success of Manchester United's Legend's 5-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Treble reunion game at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Dwight Yorke, Teddy Sheringham, Nicky Butt and David Beckham were all on target as United thrashed Bayern on the 20th anniversary of their Champions League final victory that secured the Reds an unprecedented treble of trophies.

Ferguson led United from the touchline and watched his former players dominate from the outset, with Paul Scholes and David Beckham impressing throughout.

But Ferguson said supporting the work done by United's Foundation was the highlight of the day.

"Obviously it's 20 years from the great occasion and that can't be forgotten," the former United manager told BT Sport when asked who impressed him. "But it's for a good cause. The Foundation do tremendous work in the Manchester area and they'll benefit from what we've raised today.

"I think the impressive thing for me is that they've all turned up. Some are in great condition and some are not, but they still came. They all did really well. Everyone getting here is the big thing.

"I had 27 years here, we can't forget that. It's great to see the lads. You look at them in different ways from the time I had with them. [You look at] the way they've progressed in life and in different areas of life. They're all great professionals and they showed that again today. They're great people."
