Sione Takitaki: ‘it’s still surreal’ to be drafted by the Browns

Sione Takitaki knows he has a great opportunity with the Cleveland Browns. The team’s third-round pick from BYU joins a Browns linebacking corps that brings back only Christian Kirksey and Joe Schobert.

Takitaki joined Browns in-house media host Nathan Zegura to talk about how he’s feeling about being in Cleveland.

“Yeah, it’s still surreal,” Takitaki told Zegura. “You know, it’s still a shocker.”

“It’s definitely hitting me that, you know, I got to lace up the boots now (and) show them why they brought me in. But yeah, I’m still enjoying it to be honest. I feel like 15 years down the road I’m still going to be excited for this moment.”

He concluded the thought with an earnest declaration,

“I’m really excited. I don’t know what else to say.”

Takitaki and the rest of the rookie class are enjoying a little break time between the rookie minicamp and the beginning of OTAs on the 14th.
