Sione Takitaki: ‘I love Cleveland. I told them I want to be back’

The Cleveland Browns saw a breakout campaign from linebacker Sione Takitaki as he stepped into the starting MIKE role after injuries to Anthony Walker Jr. and Jacob Phillips. Unfortunately for Takitaki, he suffered an ACL tear a month ago that could cause him to miss most of the 2023 season. As he gets set to enter free agency, however, Taktaki has made it known that he wants to remain a Brown.

When asked about his impending free agency on locker cleanout day, Takitaki stated, “I love Cleveland. I told them I want to be back.” He knows that his injury may cause some complications in free agency, but believes he has enough tape out there to land on his feet.

In light of the Jadeveon Clowney meltdown and Myles Garrett’s comments about wanting volunteers and not hostages, it seems there are plenty of willing volunteers in the locker room already.
