Sinn Fein's Conor Murphy joins three other Northern Ireland Executive members self-isolating

The Finance Minister Conor Murphy is to "self-isolate" for 14 days due to Covid-19.

The Newry and Down MLA is to isolate after a member of his household tested positive for coronavirus.

News of the isolation has emerged after Health Minister Robin Swann confirmed that he too would self-isolated for two weeks.

Mr Swann took action after he received a notification on the StopCovid NI app on Wednesday.

Confirming the news on Twitter, Mr Murphy said: "A close family member tested positive for Covid 19.

"I currently have no symptoms. I will be testing and working from home for the next 14 days."

Mr Murphy becomes the third Sinn Fein member to self-isolate over the last two weeks.

Communities Minister Carál Ní Chuilín has been self-isolating Since October 11 after a family member tested positive, despite testing negative for the virus.

Deputy First Minister Michelle O'Neill has also been self-isolating at her Mid-Ulster home after a family member tested positive for Covid-19.
