A large sinkhole has appeared in a Rutherglen park.
The discovery was made late yesterday (Tuesday) by members of the public in Overtoun Park.
One local told the Reformer : "It was quite big, and could be dangerous for any dogs or children playing in the park.
"Hopefully it gets sorted out quickly."
Alert locals had temporarily covered it with plywood, and South Lanarkshire Council have already been filling the space with red ash.
